A woman convicted of planning the attempted murder of her former father-in-law had been sentenced to 7 years in prison for cattle theft.

Thirty-five-year-old Traci Hadden pleaded guilty to aiding attempted first-degree murder and theft in the nonfatal shooting of Craig Hadden outside his Shoshone home last year. Prosecutors said before the shooting, Hadden was involved in the theft of 20 head of cattle from a Shoshone resident. A jury convicted her of grand theft in that case in November.

The Times-News reports 5th District Judge John Butler sentenced Hadden to 14 years in prison for the cattle theft on Tuesday, but said she would be eligible for parole after 7 years.
